Company Hydro Electric Projects
Renewable Energy Service Contract
The 18 MW capacity TimbabanHydro Project based in Barangay Ma. Cristina, Madalag, Aklan with service contract no. 2009-09-001 signed on September 14, 2009.
It is the first Renewable Power Project of Oriental Energy Power Generation Corporation
Transmission Line Stretch
It is about 25km length from Brgy. Calizo Balete to Brgy. Ma. Cristina, Madalag
262 locations poles are installed within the said stretch
Timbaban Mini Hydro Power Plant Project
Capacity distribution over any typical year is matched with the average monthly rainfall depth distribution for the Timbaban site
Aiding Development
The Project will bring about the needed development of the whole community (barangay, municipality, and the province) as the same will provide employment to constituents, real property tax payments, and other economic benefits that would contribute to the quest for “A progressive community inhabited by happy, peace-loving and responsible citizenry”.
Protection Environment
Run-off River is the most environmentally friendly among all sources of energy. It will not cause social problems due to submergence of lands by water as NO large DAM will be built since only a very low 5-meter high diversion weir structure will be placed in lieu of the huge DAM, will enhance forest cover and retard illegal logging, will accelerate growth in the local community and upgrade the socio-economic and well being of the local people.
Increase Energy Supply
The hydroelectric Project will increase the energy supply in the area and lower energy costs for the community It will contribute immensely to the reducing the country’s dependency on imported oil and will contribute to the global objective of averting global warming
